It depends on what you send. For transactional email at a fixed monthly price, Prontuno Standard sends 500,000 emails for $99. Checked September 26, 2026. Can I switch from SendGrid without rewriting my code? If you send over SMTP, yes: only the host, port, and credentials change. SendGrid’s v3 API nests recipients in personalizations and the body in a content array, so each send call needs rewriting for Prontuno’s flatter from, to, subject, and html fields. If your app sends email from one place, such as a mailer class, updating it is usually a small change. When is SendGrid the better choice? SendGrid is the better choice if you need marketing campaigns alongside transactional email; you need email address validation; you manage many customers through subusers; or you need inbound email parsing. Do I need a new domain to switch from SendGrid? No. Add your existing domain to Prontuno and publish the DNS records it generates. They use their own names, so your SendGrid records keep working until you finish switching. Does Prontuno track opens and clicks? No, by design. Prontuno sends your links and content exactly as written, so password reset and sign-in links are never rewritten through a tracking domain, and no tracking pixel is added.
