## How prepaid credits work

- Purchased credits expire 1 year after purchase
- Top up before credits expire to carry unused credits forward; they then expire 1 year from the top-up date
- Pay-as-you-go sending pauses when your balance runs out. Top up to resume sending
- Each team has a separate credit balance. Credits can’t be transferred between teams

## Frequently asked questions

### What counts as a recipient?

Each recipient of each email counts once. An email sent to three recipients uses three credits or three recipients from your plan allowance. Sending another email to the same person counts again.

### What happens at zero credits?

Pay-as-you-go sending pauses for that team until you top up. Other teams keep sending on their own balances. Standard includes 500,000 recipients per month and Plus includes 2,000,000; sending above your plan allowance draws from prepaid credits. Unlimited includes unlimited recipients.

### Do unused credits roll over when I top up?

Yes. Top up before your credits expire to carry the unused balance forward and extend its expiry to 1 year from the top-up date. This applies to prepaid credits, not the monthly subscription allowance.

### How do I switch between subscription plans?

Upgrading from Standard to Unlimited takes effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrading from Unlimited to Standard takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle.

### What can I send?

Prontuno is for transactional email only: messages triggered by a user action or by your application. That includes password resets, one-time passcodes, magic links, email verification, receipts, invoices, payment confirmations, failed-payment notices, order confirmations, shipping updates, delivery notices, appointment and booking confirmations, account notifications, security alerts, and team or workspace invites. Marketing emails, newsletters, promotions, product announcements, re-engagement campaigns, and cold outreach are not supported on any plan. If a message is sent to a list you chose, rather than because something happened in the product, it is not a fit.

### Can I send newsletters or marketing campaigns?

No. All Prontuno plans, including Unlimited and free credits, are for transactional emails only, such as password resets, receipts, and account notifications. Newsletters, promotional campaigns, and cold outreach are not supported.

### Do I need a subscription?

No. Pay-as-you-go credit packs start at $25 with no monthly minimum. If you send regularly, choose Standard at $99, Plus at $299, or Unlimited at $999 per month. Subscriptions are priced per team. There are no setup fees.

Unlimited includes unlimited recipients. New dedicated IPs follow a warmup period before reaching full sending capacity.

### How does Unlimited IP warmup work?

We warm and monitor your dedicated IP. New IPs follow a temporary standard warmup schedule before full-speed sending. After warmup, there are no daily caps or throttling.

### Do you offer free credits?

Every approved account starts with 10,000 free credits to get up and running. After that, choose prepaid credit packs from $25 or a subscription from $99 per month per team. Pay as you go has no subscription or monthly minimum.

### How do credits work with teams?

You can create up to 5 teams per account to organize different projects or clients. Each team has its own credit balance. Credits are shared across all domains within a team but don't transfer between teams. Most accounts only need one team.

### When do credits expire, and how does topping up work?

Credits are valid for 1 year. Top up before expiry to carry unused credits forward and extend expiry by 1 year from the top-up date. Free onboarding credits are also valid for 1 year.

### Can I use credits across multiple domains?

Yes. Standard and Plus each include 1,000 sending domains per team. Unlimited includes unlimited sending domains per team. Paid credit packs support 100 sending domains per team. While using free credits, you can use 2 sending domains. Credits are shared across every sending domain in a team, with no per-domain fee. Credits don't move between teams — each team keeps its own balance.

### What happens if I run out of credits?

For pay-as-you-go sending, sending pauses for that team until you top it up. Other teams keep sending on their own balances. We'll alert you at 80%, 90%, and 95% so you have time to add more.

### Can I get a refund on unused credits?

Credits are non-refundable, but they remain valid for 1 year and roll over when you top up, so you'll never lose them if you stay active.

### What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express).
