Features

Everything behind a reliable send

Good transactional email comes down to four jobs: prove the mail is yours, get it out, find out what happened to it, and protect your reputation as you grow. Prontuno has a feature for each, and they all share the same domains, logs, and events.

Stage by stage

How the features fit together

Every transactional email passes through the same four stages, in the same order. Each feature below takes care of one of them.

  1. Authenticate

    example.com → Verified

Mailbox providers check that a sender is allowed to use a domain before they trust its mail. Authentication comes first because every later stage depends on it.

  2. Send

    POST /v1/emails → 202 Accepted

Your application hands messages to Prontuno through a REST API or standard SMTP. Both routes use the same verified domains and appear in the same email logs.

  3. Track

    email.delivered → 200

Once a message leaves, it can be delivered, deferred, bounced, or rejected. Webhooks bring each outcome back to your application as it happens.

  4. Scale

    203.0.113.24 → Active

As volume grows, the reputation of the sending IP matters more. A dedicated IP ties that reputation to your mail alone.

Choosing a route

The API or SMTP?

Both routes deliver through the same infrastructure, so the choice comes down to who writes the code that sends the mail. You can use both on the same account.

Email API

Suits code your team writes and maintains.

  • Up to 1,000 emails in one request
  • Safe retries with idempotency keys
  • Structured errors your code can act on
  • Domains and suppressions managed from the same API

About the Email API

smtp.prontuno.net:587

SMTP relay

Suits apps that already send mail.

  • Works with frameworks, CMSs, and off-the-shelf tools
  • Needs only a host, a port, and credentials
  • No change to how messages are built
  • The same email logs as API sends
